Part 2: The first girl.

During my last few weeks of high school I was pretty bummed at the thought of working for a living. I had no money for college or university and no plans of moving out of my dads house. Prom was not even fun since I had to go stag.

After school had ended I was able to get a job sweeping floors and organizing furnaces at a nearby heating and air conditioning installation company. There was other young people working there at the time so the job was alright at the time as we were able to hang out and chat when the boss wasn't around. My two friends John and Steve called me up one night and invited me along for a night of mini put and indoor go carting in the city about an hour drive away. It was a fun evening so we made a weekly event out of it. A few months later while we were out on our usual mini put outing we decided to also go to a glow in the dark bowling place. While we were there we ran into some other people whom we knew from high school including a girl, Jen. I had seen Jen around school before but never talked to her. Our two groups of friends merged and we all bowled together that night. I was pretty attracted to Jen that night. With her tight red pants on and button up white shirt. Every time she made her shot at the bowling pins of course I snuck a look at her nice round plump backside. Eventually I decided to make some small talk with her. It wasn't long before we found some common ground in conversation. There was a guy named Doug there with us who we each didn't like. Jen didn't like him because he kept hitting on her and she was not into him at all. I didn't like him because I thought he was a big stupid clown who a lot of people made fun of in school. I can't remember who ended up winning the game that night but everyone except Doug seemed to have a good time. Doug was angry because me and Jen were hitting it off so well. All in all I went home pretty satisfied even if I were to never talk to Jen again.

A week after the bowling game I received a phone call from My old friend Brian. I didn't hang out with him much in school but we knew each other fairly well. He called to pass along Jen's phone number to me and said she was expecting my call that evening. After much courage searching , I gained the nerve to call up Jen. She was happy to hear from me and in just a couple of minutes we had set a date for the next Friday night.

It was a pretty busy week for me at work but when Friday came around I raced home to get showered and changed for my first real date. I picked Jen up from her parents place where I met her mother and father. I promised to have her home by 12 and with that we were off. Jen asked where we were going and I instantly realized I had no plan for this date whatsoever! I told her I had made a reservation for us at the local steak house. When we got to the front door of the restaurant I slipped the hostess a $20 bill to get us a table faster. Getting lucky like that , I was in a very good mood over dinner and the conversation went very well. After dinner we went to a movie where half way in I decided to go for the hand hold. Before I knew it, she was cuddled up to my chest with my arm around her. Shorty after that , my face was cuddled up to hers. We chatted about past memories and future plans on the drive home. When we got to her doorstep I leaned in for the goodnight kiss but Jen smiled and told me to call her the next day. I drove home that night on top of the world. Nothing could stop me , it was perfect.

Part 1: A teenage lesson

I was never the cool kid in school. In the 8th grade I had quite a few cool friends only because I knew them from when I was little. The summer before high school things changed dramatically. My friend, Dave, and I were having fun getting into random trouble and we thought it would be a rush to steal a dirt bike from a nearby farm. When your 14, a lot of ideas seem good. We had seen a guy driving around on this yellow Yamaha earlier that day and later saw his family drive away from the farm for some shopping in town we had guessed. Even though it was raining, we snuck over to the farm through some farmer's fields and into the shed where we saw the yellow bike through a partially opened door. With one kick I started the bike and took off with Dave on the back. We hid it in a forest near my dads farm only a 20 Minuit ride away. Pretty impressed with ourselves, we called up our friend and told him what we had done. He said we were stupid and would get caught. We didn't think much of what he had said but when we saw a police car drive up and down the road we certainly got nervous. Dave and I walked back into the forest to move the bike to a more safe location but when crossing the road the police saw us with the bike and arrested the two of us on the spot for theft under $5000. We spend the night in the local jail before my parents came to pick us up in the morning. We were sentenced to a court date where we received 100 hours of community service and 6 months of probation each. I served my time in the local library organizing books etc. I was grounded for 3 months by my parents but Dave's parents did not punish him at all.

During the first week of high school our stunt was the talk of the town. I'm not sure how, but nobody knew I was the one who had taken the dirt bike. Dave was the talk of the school since he had gloated about how bad ass he was. I kept quiet for days until Dave had let it slip out that I was the leader in the crime. Very embarrassed at the time I avoided everyone and quickly became an out cast in school. It was not until the 11th grade that I was making Friends again and coming out of my shell. Finally in the 12th grade I became myself again and was often out ATVing with my friends and racing my old Chevy Beretta down the street. As high school came to a close I attempted to savor every last day as I had a feeling that was as good as life was going to get. My feeling turned out to be right.
